报告摘要:Combinatorial optimisation problems appear in many real world applications in management and business sectors. This seminar presents research developments of evolutionary and metaheuristic algorithms for some example applications including transport scheduling, personnel scheduling and network routing, etc. Followed by these examples, advances in automated algorithm design, supported by machine learning, will also be briefly discussed.
报告人简介:
Dr. Rong Qu is an Associated Professor at the University of Nottingham. Her main research interests include the modelling and optimisation with evolutionary algorithms, mathematical programming, machine learning in operational research and artificial intelligence, and hybridisations of these techniques. Dr. Qu is Associate Editor at IEEE TEVC, JORS, PeerJ and IEEE CIM. She is an IEEE Senior Member since 2012, and has been awarded The Royal Society Senior Research Fellowship in 2022.
屈嵘,英国诺丁汉大学副教授。主要研究领域为进化计算建模与优化,数学规划,机器学习等人工智能综合交叉研究。现任《IEEE进化计算》、《IEEE CIM》等副主编,荣获2022英国皇家学会高级研究奖。她所在的自动调度优化和规划研究小组(Automated Scheduling, Optimisation and Planning (ASOP) Research Group)是国际智能优化计算领域的顶级研究团队之一,也是诺丁汉大学最知名的研究团体之一。
